Is This Where It Starts? - January 14, 2011

It's hard to watch the news anymore and deny that we can see the times that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 taking place before our eyes. For instance, we can certainly see the love of many growing cold, lawlessness abounding, all the news reports of murders and violent crimes seem to be constant. It's not uncommon for people to do things to even hurt their own families, and with this economy, burglaries are increasing. Even where I live, there are a lot of break-ins, and even a number of churches burglarized and vandalized. There was about a month or two ago, all around the same time, a LOT of churches were being broken into.

There's wars and rumors of wars, which we can see happening. And earthquakes... There have been a lot of earthquakes. The year 2010 seemed to be the year of the earthquakes.

Here's one... Famine. We are aware of it effecting third world nations, but are we preparing to see more? I came across this clip that I wanted to share with you guys. It's from Fox News, and I just found it to be... interesting, to say the least.

Is this the next of the Matthew 24 signs that will really start to play out? When I compare this video to some of the other things I've seen recently on the news, which they touched on a little bit here about certain crops having a particularly hard year, it certainly, at the very least, makes you wonder.

4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

~ Matthew 24:4-8 (KJV)
