False Messiahs And False Prophets || June 27, 2010

I've noticed that it's not uncommon anymore to come across websites, or videos, or different places where people are proclaiming themselves to be some divine being, incarnated in a human body, or claiming to be channeling some higher being, even claiming to be Jesus the Messiah Himself. There are those pointing at someone and saying, Hey, this is Jesus, or This is who the Messiah is. This person is from the higher realms, coming to teach and enlighten mankind, or something like that. It's surprisingly common in some places. It's not so rare anymore, it seems.

There's a lady on youtube that, apparently there's some person she's trying to point to and saying that he is the reincarnation of Jesus. We know from the Bible that when Jesus returns, it's not by reincarnation. He doesn't just come back in human form, born from a human woman again. We know that when Jesus returns He will be returning in full glory, coming in the clouds. But I found it interesting that, when I quoted scripture from Jesus Christ Himself on her channel, regarding that particular video, the very words that Jesus Himself spoke, apparently were considered offensive enough to be removed, and I was blocked from her channel. I find it interesting that she claims to be a follower of Jesus, and it was His own words that she found so offensive. But, that was just another reminder of how often we can come across this anymore. I figure that I'll put out here again what I've put out here before, which, I don't know how many of you need to be reminded of this, but just in case, it's a good reminder to have.

In Matthew 24:23-27 Jesus says:

23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25Behold, I have told you before.

26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I think a lot of the ones that are out there now are more obvious deceptions, however there are apparently people who believe them, because there are different websites and different videos that have followers who have believed it. I believe as we go along such instances will become more commonplace. And, if my understanding is accurate, it seems that it will be getting more easier for people to be deceived, with the deception becoming more strong. I believe it's important that all of us keep in mind that no matter what someone tries to say, no matter how convincing their argument is, or what wonders they're able to do, or anything like that, don't believe them.

If they claim to be prophets of God, put their words to the test based on scriptures. If they claim to be Jesus or God Himself, we already know what the Bible tells us about that. I believe a lot of people that have commented on my messages are aware of this, but just in case, I wanted to remind everyone that no matter how convincing an argument might be, don't believe it. It's a lie.
