How Can I Know God Is Real?
People will ask, Why should I believe in God? How can you know He's real? What evidence is there to support it? I'll tell you how I know. It's not something that I can measure or document, or something that may make much sense if you've not experienced it for yourself. But, I know that He's real because I can feel Him. I can feel Him. He's made Himself real to me. I felt Him draw me to Him, and I can feel the change that He's created in me. With Him, I'm not the same person as I was without Him. This change wasn't some gradual change. It wasn't me working on myself, changing bad habits or anything like that. No, this change was instantaneous. I'd been in a spiritual slumber for a long time, and when He woke me from it, I was someone else. My mother, the next day as I was speaking with her, said she had goosebumps. People may ask me how I know God is real... You can find information out there that's pretty interesting from a scientific point of view, but every time you also find people "explaining it" away. So let me suggest this to you instead. If you would really like to know if God is real, and if you're really seeking the TRUTH, whatever that truth may be, ask Him. Ask God to let you know if He's really out there or not. Jesus said to ask and you would receive, seek and you will find. If you ask God to reveal Himself to you, If you seek the knowledge of Him and do so with sincerity, then He will answer you. Be sure to pay attention. 7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. ~ Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV) |
