How Can You Be Saved?

People have questions about salvation sometimes. There are those that wonder why they need to be saved. There are those that wonder how do you get saved. There are those that are uncertain about whether they already are or maybe aren't saved. There are some scriptures in the book of Romans that are also referred to as the "Romans road to salvation". It answers a lot of questions about salvation when you go through them. It goes over why you need to be saved, what happens basically if you're not, and then how to go about doing it. So I'm going to go through these verses with you, so that you can see what the Bible has to say.

10As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

~ Romans 3:10-12 (KJV)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ~ Romans 3:23 (KJV)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ~ Romans 6:23 (KJV)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:8 (KJV)

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ~ Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ~ Romans 10:13 (KJV)

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: ~ Romans 5:1 (KJV)

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ~ Romans 8:1 (KJV)

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Romans 8:38-39 (KJV)

There are those who wonder if we really need to be saved. Well, if you put any faith in what the Bible has to say, the Bible clearly indicates that yes, we all need to be. None of us are okay by our own will, by our own means. No one can make it to Heaven on our own, none of us. We need Jesus for this. We need to go to Him.

So, how do you get saved? First, you need to believe. You need to believe that Jesus Christ came from Heaven and was born into this earth, died for your sins, and then He rose again. If you believe this, then this is the easy part. You need to accept Him, pray, tell Him you believe, repent of your sins. Tell Him you're sorry for all that you've done, and that you know that you need Him. He will come to you, and cover all of your sins. None of them will be seen anymore. That's how we get saved. That's how our sins no longer separate us from God, because He covers them.

Repent of your sins, and ask Him to come into your life and into your heart. If you do this and if you believe, and truly mean it, then He will. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death, and it also says that no one comes to the Father accept through the Son. If you haven't been saved yet, please think about this. Really think about this. He wants you to come to Him. All you have to do is accept Him.
